Pensions probably isn’t the first topic you would think of to spark creativity. But there is always something that can inspire a new idea or way of telling a story.
We recently had a meeting to discuss content for an upcoming webinar on pensions communications. This brainstorming brought up some interesting ideas and phrases and these stuck in my mind. After a slow train journey and some time spent googling ‘what rhymes with...’ a poem was formed. The poem focuses on the importance of clear pensions communications. If a subject is too hard to understand, you run the risk of the member burying their head in the sand and doing nothing. The image of an ostrich with its head buried seemed the natural choice for the accompanying illustration.
It just goes to show that inspiration can come out of the most unlikely places. By continuing to be creative, even in simple ways, we can help to develop new ideas and ways of sharing information.
